Chet Visits Snyder County Fire Hall

After a campaign stop in Snyder County, Chet visited Reliance Hose Co. #1 on Friday, April 4th. He met with Fire Chief Butch Hackenberg, who gave him a tour of their facility and showed Chet the Company's new engines and equipment. Chief Hackenberg expressed his support for Chet’s mission to bring true accountability to our state government.

The Auditor General’s Department annually conducts workshops for volunteer fire departments. These workshops train members of VFD’s in operational guidelines and administrative procedures for state granted funds.

Last year, the Auditor General’s office was responsible for disbursement of over $67 million to 1,967 local Volunteer Firefighter Relief Associations. Of that, Snyder County’s 9 fire departments received $239,541.05, or 0.35% of the funds.

Chet remarked, "I look forward to working with our Volunteer Firefighters and other first responders to protect Pennsylvania's families and promote the well being of our Commonwealth."
